Introducing Tren Maya (or Train Maya)!

The Yucatán Peninsula now has a luxurious, safe train that can take you pretty much anywhere you want to go in that part of Mexico.

Not long ago, I discovered a train that runs along the coast and encircles most of the Yucatan called the Mayan Train (or Tren Maya in Spanish).

It has 34 stops (20 stations as well as 14 additional stops) so you can visit the many cities and famous sites in Mexico. It travels open countryside as well as quaint little villages where the villages will wave to you as you pass by . . .

A little history

Starting in 2010, the Mexican government began investing billions to construct a railway that would attract visitors from all over the world.

In 2018, they began to lay down track, build stations, and even built hotels at many of the stops to provide visitors a seamless, beautiful visit to Mexico.

What they constructed is a stunning success, but there’s only one problem:

You haven’t come down there to enjoy it.
